Since Lee-Whedon Memorial Library is part of the Nioga Library System (Niagara, Orleans, and Genesee Counties), books are available through the interlibrary loan from those libraries free of charge.  Also, some materials, especially academic works, may be available for interlibrary loan from libraries outside of the system and from university libraries, although a fee may apply.

Computers: 6 public computers available for sign out and use in the library.  There is also a children's computer in the children's section.  Several 'IPAC computers are available to search for books.  There is a wide range of programs and applications on the computers including broadband Internet, Microsoft Office applications, tutorials, Microsoft MapPoint, and many children's games.
A separate children's profile allows children to play games without access to the Internet.
The public computers do not have any Internet blocking software.

Wi-Fi:
Lee-Whedon started offering wireless service in June 2007. You will never have to wait for another computer again and there are absolutely no time limits. Also, it is NOT necessary to have a library card to gain Internet access. All you need is a laptop that contains an internal or an external wirless card. (View Lee-Whedon's wireless policy)

Online Databases: Being a library cardholder brings great rewards. One of those rewards is the ability to access all the useful databases available through Lee-Whedon and NIOGA, free of charge. NIOGA offers EBSCOhost and Gale which give you a multitude of databases including Auto Repair, Novelist, EBSCOAnimals, Kids Search, Custom Newspapers, National and Inernational Newspapers, periodicals and many more.
Lee-Whedon offers Heritage Quest and Digital Sanborn Maps, which are used for genealogy. Ancestry.com is available for in-house use only.
(Must have a Lee-Whedon card to access these databases). Our newest resource is BookLetters. Sign-up today to receive your free newsletters sent to your e-mail address.
