Scanning

The library has three scanners available to the public. The first is located on the public printer/copier. This scanner allows you to scan to email. Scanning to email is free. You do not need a library card to use this scanner.

The second scanner is a flatbed scanner located in the Quiet Room. This scanner allows you to scan to a computer and then save, print, or email from the computer. Scanning to save or email is free. If you want to print, it costs $0.15 per page. You do not need a library card to use this scanner and computer.

The third scanner is for large format items such as maps. Images can be saved and emailed from the desktop computer. This scanner is also located in the Quiet Room. You do not need a library card to use this scanner and computer.

Digitization

The library has a high quality flatbed scanner which will scan photographs and slides. Digital images can then be edited, saved, and emailed from the desktop computer. VHS tapes can be scanned using our digital converter and saved to DVD. All digitization is self-service. Staff can provide limited assistance but will not be available for 1 on 1 help unless you schedule a tech tutor appointment specifically for that purpose. You do not need a library card to use this equipment. Digitization is free as long as you bring a storage device with you. If you intend to print copies of something then you will need to pay the prices listed above.
