Lee-Whedon Fee/Fines
The library accepts Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover credit/debit cards, cash, and personal checks for overdue fines or lost book payments. Lost items must be paid for in full; we cannot accept payments. If an item is lost or damaged beyond repair, you will be charged the full replacement cost of the item plus any late fees associated with it. We cannot accept replacement items for lost or damaged items.
Computer usage
Computers at the library are free to use. Children under the age of 12 cannot use the computers without an adult present. The library is not responsible for any personal information (e.g. credit card) that is compromised or for any damage caused to your hardware or software due to electric surges, security issues, or consequences caused by viruses or hacking. All users agree to follow our internet use policy when they log on.
All users are expected to use the library’s computers in a legal and responsible manner, consistent with the educational and informational purposes for which it is provided. Users should not violate federal, New York or local laws, including the transmission of or receiving of child pornography, harmful material, fraud, or downloading copyrighted material.
WiFi
The library’s Wi-Fi is free and unsecured. Any information being sent or received could be intercepted by another user. We caution you not to transmit credit card information, passwords, or any other sensitive personal information while using any wireless “hot spot.” We suggest all wireless access users have up-to-date virus protection on their computers, tablets, or other wireless devices. Wi-Fi is turned off when the library closes. By using our Wi-Fi, all users agree to follow the library’s Internet and Wi-Fi policies.
Book donations
We accept most used books in good condition. We do not accept textbooks, bibles, encyclopedias, or Reader’s Digest Condensed Versions. Also damaged, moldy, or smelly items will not be accepted. Of those books that are donated, some may be added into our regular collection. Those we do not add will be sold at the Friends of the Library book sale or used for promotional purposes. There is a 2 box per day limit on donations due to space constraints.
